Igniting a Spark

An animal that represents me is a wolf, and no it is not because of the result I got on quiz. Wolves are known for there loyalty and that is a trait that I hold very highly. I am a loyal person, and I put the people who I care about before everything else including myself. I am a fierce person, like wolves there is a fire in my stomach that pushes me on. This side of me comes out during competition. During a soccer games I will not give anyone mercy. I will push myself as hard as I can to ensure that my team comes out on top not wanting to hold no regrets wishing that I has pushed myself just a little harder. I am also similar to a wolf is because of  selflessness. In the end a wolf will give up it's own life for the sake of the pack, and in a situation I would give myself up without a second thought. And because of the similarities that we share this is the animal I would choose to be.

There are three people who truly inspire me. One of which is my youth leader Scott Green. He has helped me find myself when I am lost. He is one of the reasons why I am the person I am today. Without him there is a high chance that I would not be traveling with Children's Global Alliance. Looking back and seeing that he pushed me to not give up is why I have this incredible experience. He inspires me to be able to evoke the same motivation in others that he gave me.

A second person who inspires me is Mother Theresa. She inspires me because she is the type of person who I would like to be when I am older. She is humble, selfless, and loving, those traits are ones that many people have, but it is truly rare to find a person with all of these remarkable characteristics. Not only this, but she gave up everything in her life in order to serve what was considered the lowest of low people. In my mind I don't need a college, or even high school education because the real lessons in life aren't taught behind a classroom door. You learn them by going out in the world and simply living life. And in life lessons are not taught immediately, but are learnt when looking back and seeing what you did in those individual precious moments that changed your perspective of life.

The third person is someone who when I here the world inspire I think of them. This person is Mr. Moser. I do not entirely know what it is about him that inspires me, but I know that if I ever disappointed him I would be crushed. In simple terms I think he is just such a good person. Since the first day I met him he has been my inspiration. There is something about his persona that makes me want to put my best foot forward when I am reminded of him. He knows what to say and how to say it. He has an incredible talent with his words that I hope one day to be able to share with him. Another aspect that I love about him is how he cares. When he asks how are you, he's not just asking it for small talk. Mr. Moser is asking it because he really wants to know how you are. A quote that he frequently shared with me was, "It's not about how smart you are, it's about how are you smart." This has helped me overcome my need to be the best at everything, but only to be the person who follows her passion whatver they may be. Big or small they all amount to something.
"If you actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more then you are a leader" ~John Quincy Adams
